"Roar" is a song by American singer Katy Perry for her fourth studio album, Prism (2013). It is a power pop song, containing elements of glam rock and arena rock, with lyrics centering on standing up for oneself and self-empowerment. The song was a commercial success, becoming Perry's eighth non-consecutive number one song on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, and also topping charts in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. Additionally, it also reached the top five in most international charts, including France, Germany, Italy, Japan and Switzerland.

This song illustrates how women are often victims of violence in their relationship. And sometimes, the woman most chose to remain silent on all violence committed against him. When abused it, a woman is actually forgot that very mean to him. as a woman she should have the right to be loved, appreciated and cherished. Too bad if she could just keep quiet, accept with resignation to any violence. And violence is clearly not going to end if the trend continues.
